so Chris, how large of a drop did ur car get? You got any problems with rubbing or anything? I havne thad the chance to get anything yet. Im so anxious to get the Bridgestone Potenza RE730s though. I wanted to upgrade the rims to 17s but htats just too much. BEsides tires are like 105 each for 16's pretty nice...So how bad si your camber? My rears got really really messedup. LIke i look down at my car and i cant even see the top of the tires really. But my fronts are fine fortunately.

no reason it shouldn't fit. same suspention, just different shocks and springs. if it doesn't fit however, you can shim the rear out. I'm not exactly sure where you put the shims in but my buddy did it on his CL-P. all it cost in materials was a bunch of washers from a hardware store. I know it's not the right way to do it but it's a good temp. fix. let me know if the camber kit fits, I'm about to lower mine

Are camber kits easy to install?> Is it something that you can do it yourself? Ive seen some pics on how to install it..doesnt look too bad. What would be a good price for jsut a rear camber kit install be from the avg good deal? ALso anyone know if you need any special tools besides the typical socket wrenches and a car jack?

my front is alright... the camber is still off but i think it's bareable. however, the back is really starting to get fucked up. you can actually see the tire flaring out and i'm starting to notice faster wear on the inside of the tire. now i'm in desperate need of a rear camber adjustment (front would be good too) and paying $270 for ingalls isn't really within my budget. the price of the stillen is good.

What exactly did you mean by putting shims in there? What did he do exactly? Did ur friend even try using hte camber kit or he just felt like doign something on a low budget and putting washers in the place? Is that really a safe process?> Im not really sure waht teh camber kit does specifically...maybe someone can clarify..but i saw some pics on a installation instructions...almost look slike all you are doing is taking out the strut tower and control arm and placing pices of metal inbetween to push out the wheels...isthat what companies make you pay 100's of dollars for? a small piece of metal or is there alot more to it/.

Tell you the truth, for 63 bucks, buy it and try it out for yourself. The worst that can happen is it dones't fit and u send it back right?

to install properly, you need to remove the lower control arm (front), and then use a pressurized tool to install. My mechanic said that it will take 1-2hrs. I wouldn't do it myself.

What about this who shimming process? Does anyone know anything about that? VTECnology was talking about that and so has some of my friends. I was reading an old article from Import tuner issue 4. IT actually has detailed instructions on how to install the camber kit...looks like its not too difficult. Shows to remove the wheels and strut tower and thats pretty simple if you spend the time and then you just modify the control arm. HOWEVER for camber changes in the rear suspension all they did was do this shimming process also. Seems to me that theres not really a point to even get the rear camber kit for most cars if this Shimming process works as well as i have heard. Anyone know anything about this in detail? Just FYI here are the exact insturctions they stated in the mag for the rear camber changes.

" The rear camber is corrected by shimming hte upper control arms (links) outboard. Replace the two M10 mounting bolts on each side with the longer fastener s supplied in the kit. Add washers between the body and upper mount. Each washer provides 1/2 degree of positive camber. Use thread-locking compound supplied with each new fasterner. Be sure to add the same number of washers to each bolt. Most lowered civics and integras need three washers or 1.5 degrees of change."

It also provides a pretty nice diagram but i dont have a scanner...

Anyhow...any info on the shimming process would be greatly appreciated. Also on the price for someone to do it or hte price for the install on a rear camber kit... THanks alot
