I'm interested in doing this upgrade. Could a novice do this install and tuning or would a expert be worth the price of the install and tuning?? Any insight?

 

Dyno, your key word here is novice! No! I would not recommend a novice installing cams. They have to be set up right or its kiss the engine goodbye! If you are really good at following directions,have proper tools,and it did not take you 11hrs.to install your CAI (HeHe) it is possible that you could do it. But would recommend having a knowledgable buddy there to help you! You can really have some good hp. gains with the right cams. They are expensive and would get adjustable cam gear to go with for tuning!
