Calling all Zaino fiends . . . .

... you guys are big fans of Zaino. I've read through past threads and have decided to try Zaino on my 2003 Graphite Gray Accord. I sorted through all their products and here's what I was going to order. Am I going to do this right? Did I skip something? Any input from actual users would be appreciated.

1) Wash with dish soap to strip off as much wax as possible.

2) Use the Z18 Clay Bar bumper to bumper.

3) Z7 wash.

4) (Debating on this step) -> Z5. Z5 removes swirls and scratches. My finish is just about flawless right now. I wasn't sure if I should just go right to ...

5) Z2 ( a couple of times )

6) Take ridiculous number of pictures for my desktop.

After the last coat of Z2, I let it set overnight and that's it, right??

**One more question - how does the Z6 work? Even the Zaino site said it was tough to work with. I would just rather do a couple coats of Z2 per month with a weekly Z7 wash in between.

How's that sound? Any feed back from those of you that have used it would be appreciated. I'm anxious to see it on my Graphite Gray Pearl. The Meguiar's #26 glaze I use is outstanding. I'm hoping Zaino will be that much better.

Tks, guys . . . .

just remember to use the Z7 as a lube for the the clay bar.

And you will probably use Z2 more than a couple of times

Don’t forget, the Z-7 should be heavily diluted with WATER, not straight.
I use an old Windex bottle for a sprayer with mostly water and only about a capful of Z-7.

I use a small towel to apply the Z-6.
I spray it directly on the towel which is folded into a 6x6 square or so.
Then I wipe one small section of the car then IMMEDIATELY wipe the excess off with a large clean towel.
Do one panel at a time. Fender, door, quarter panel, trunk and such.
Don’t let it sit on the paint more then 20-seconds or so or it will start to dry and spot.
And try not to do it in the hot sun. A cool car inside the garage is best.
I generally use two large bath towels to wipe the Z-6 from the entire car. If you overuse ONE or reuse an old one it will start to streak.

Oh and don't cheap out on the towels! I find that towel selection is key! My car looks awesome but has enough swirls to drive me crazy:

WRONG...that's the BEST time to clay...god knows what the car's exposed to between rolling out on the assembly line and onto the dealer lot...even after the car's been prepped by the dealer, u still dunno if they did a halfway decent job or not...so do yerself a favor and clay right from the getgo

YMMV

the site kept emphasizing this, too. i'll definitely get "100% cotton made in the USA" towels like they suggest.

yes make sure its a HOT day the hotter the better. 1 hour is plenty of time to let the stuff dry on a hot day.

However i did see somewhere that you will need to wait 24 hours to reapply another coat of z2? i could be wrong.

Buy the ZFX. It's GREAT !!!

If you don't, you'll need to buy Z-1 for the first application.
