Calling all Satin Silver CL owners!
Guys... some of you might have read my other thread http://www.acura-cl.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/004785.html
Regarding some bad (didn't match) paint work done on my car after a collision.
Well I took the car back to the body shop today and had the painter look at it, they admited it wasn't right and said they would call around to some other shops to try and figure out the best paint to use. I get a call from the shop at work today and after doing some research the body shop thinks they used the wrong "paint code" (the paint code is listed on a sticker on the driver side door enclosure) that they punched into their computer.
My car has a paint code of NH623M. According to the body shop it is MISLABELED? They said there are three different tones of this particular color that are used and it should be a code like NH623M-A or something of that sort.
Can some of you guys with Satin Silver check your paint code for me and see what it is?
Just for reference purposes my car was #20,XXX and was purchased in October (with a September build) in Northern VA.
Thanks for any help!

Hey I just went and checked. The code for mine is NH623M. I don't know how to check the # built. But I bought the car in Aug 2000. Tell me where to check, and I'll see what build it is.

Actually, this could be very true that the paint code is incorrect. I had a little scratch repaired on my bumper and they said they inputted the paint into their computer and thats the paint that was produced. However, the part that their painted could be told apart from the original. It was not as shiny as the original paint. I will go check and post in a few hours the code from my car.

The one thing that unites all human beings, regardless of age, gender, religion, economic status or ethnic background, is that deep down inside, we ALL believe that we are above average drivers.

Interesting... By using the paint code in their computer for my car the resulting paint seems a little shinier and a little darker.

I haven't checked my paint code yet, but I've got Acura touch-up paint and it sucks!
ok, maybe I'm using it for non-standard purpose(a big tear in the paint), but the color should still match
