Alright yall, I took everyones advice and got the 19" lowenhart BR5's . Because of the way the are designed the brake calipers are very visible. I am considering painting them. what do you guys think black or red.

 

if you want a sleeker look i'd say black...otherwise choose red..

 

I have to agree with what Shawn S posted long ago when he painted his calipers. To paraphrase:

Our calipers are not that cool looking. Red paint would call too much attention to them and just be plain embarrassing. Black would clean things up without calling too much attention to them. We don't have Brembros after all.

Do a search for Shawn S's pics of how to paint the calipers. You can see what black painted calipers look like.

I've been thinking about this for a while, but have not had the time.

 

i put cross drilled rotors on my car, that's y i painted them red.i wanted the rotors to stick out more. i think it looks good. i think black is just a waste of time. all that work when u can let the brake dust make the black for you :P

 

Like Slimey posted above, I prefer BLACK.
Especially if you have good-looking RIMS.
Our UGLY ASS calipers need to be HIDDEN, not accentuated with color.
