Guys, im wondering if 240 with bypass is a good deal for the AEM???

Sounds like a good deal. It's usually around $210 for the intake, and around $45 to $50 for the bypass.

OK price...


You might want to consider getting a 3" hose to replace the bypass in the summer months if you like drag racing. The bypass will lose power and suck in hot air from the engine bay during extended idling.

When I talked to the AEM folks, they recommended replacing the bypass valve during the summer with the hose to:

1. Reduce the turbulence caused by the valve (non-heat related)
2. Prevent any of the hot air near the bypass valve from getting into the system (that bypass valve draws in air easier than most people think. I have one in a box that never got installed after I ran a few tests...)
