CAI question-please reply

Just a month ago, I told myself: no more $$ on the cl-s. I can't stop though, just bought the AEM CAI, it's being installed tomorrow. Question is: will I notice the difference? CAI owners please reply...
Thanks.

First, it's more sweet noise.

Performance wise, if it's cold outside say at night and you push it, yeah you feel a difference. Dyno numbers should an 8HP max could be extracted form the CAI.

I noticed 3 MPH gained on the 1/4 mile Trap Speed.

Enjoy and save your money for something other than your CLS

Thanks StonedCL. Guess can't expect much from a $300 upgrade. What if I added the headers? Is it worth the $1200? Thanks for the input.

Yeah, I rub with the new wheels/tires. Wells are shaved so it's been minimized but with passengers It's pretty bad. I don't know the offset. The wheels are 18X8's if that helps.

Stoned, so AEM CAI has more power than the Xepher CAI? or the other way around?

I'm so indecisive, one day I think it's madness to spend more $$ on the car, the next day I log on to the website and get all hyped up on the mods and can't resist it! I wish I had more control when it comes to my car. My motives are pure though: I just love to trick stuff out. It's the same with everything I own, I just have to modify everything. I'm sure most of the guys on the board suffer from the same affliction.

I definitely noticed more of a performance increase from the Comptech headers than from the AEM CAI....to be expected. The benefits of the CAI are more visceral than any horsepower gain. That screaming sound from the engine at WOT when you hit the VTEC RPM range...is...ah...f00k!ng awesome!

Have seen 10+hp. gain on dyno for Integra with AEM. Due to its ceramic coating it offers greater heat shield. Built a homemade CAI for my stepson's Integra and think it added up to 8hp. plus an awesome sound thats addicting! Just got my silver CL-S 2wks. ago and have ordered sways, springs, shocks, and a G-Tech so I can first hand see what improvement my mods make! Cheers!
