CAI question, not a normal repeat ?
i have the icebox and i was thinking of ways to make it louder, kinda like the AEM. is their anyway to keep the stock look i have but make it louder like AEM or am i just plain screwed. i wonder if maybe i can remove that top plastic tube piece and use some piping as a replacement.

u shoulda got the AEM ....
if u really wanna make it louder, this might be bad for your car, but remove the cover take out the filter and then put the cover back on or leave it off.... either way, dirt can get in you engine that way but it will be louder

I initially wasn't going to bother with this thread...but after seeing the 1st reply you got...PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!
Do ANYTHING BUT REMOVE YOUR filter! By doing so, you might as well shoot your foot while your at it.

You're kinda stuck with the discrete noise the IceBox makes.
If you wanted that sound you should have went with the AEM CAI, however as you know it looks anything but stock.

Make a tube that goes from the inlet of the 'box' into the bumper and stick the air-filter in the bumper... it will make the same sound as the AEM and look like the Icebox up top!

One thing no one mentioned is the K&N air filter.
You can replace the foam filter that comes with the icebox for a K&N cone filter, not quite as loud as AEM, but does sound just like it. As far as loudness, its like right in between an AEM and the regular icebox.

COME AT ME BRO!
the bypass valve on the aem is pointless..... aem had an add in a import magazine with there cai on an nsx with the filter in a bucket of water and the water only travled like 6 to 8 inchs up the pipe no where near the intake manifold... its just a ploy to get more oney from you. i dont ever worry about watter in my cai

you would have to drive through some pretty deep water. it is possible though.
where i live it rains a ton, plus my car is really low. have i ever used a bypass? no.
