For CAI owners, this setup really protects the pipe

i remember a few weeks ago, i described the setup i used for my intake to protect it from scratches/punctures...here's a pic that shows how i did it

for AEM owners, this is a good alternative to using the brackets if yer worried about them snapping

the black ring is from the stock airbox...i hope this helps

hey BlackShadow watd you do about that bolt on the CAI thats in front of the shock (the upper one you see in that pic) on your car? The one AEM sent with my intake is too small for our 99's so I've had that support loose (CAI is stil held in securely by the other bolt, but its annoying to not have both as the CAI vibrates quite a bit)

also you can use the stock upper box and then cut a hole in the lid ,,, you can now mount the cable back in it's stock location.... note don't make the box air tight,,, the valve won't work

That’s a standard Xephyr CAI install.
