Cai

Hey guys and girls, just picked up a 2001 3.2 type s. Just wondering which CAI I should get Injen, AEM, or Comptech. What do you think has the best results.

Injen and AEM are the same thing. Comptech doesn't make an intake per se for our car but rather an icebox. The icebox is showing slightly higher hp and tq gains. The Injen and AEM have the nice VTEC scream, the Icebox is pretty stock sounding.

If you like to enhance the nice sound of your Vtec engine, get CAI, if you like stock sound, get ICE box. Performance is about the same.

You can still hear the difference with the ICEBOX, just not at lower RPMs.. It does get a good bit louder in VTEC range, which I like. I got it for the gain, not the sound anyway.

lol, that's funny... you talking like there is a huge gain on the ICEBox over the standard CAI...

1-2 hp... is really not that big of a difference. Depending on the dyno, it could varie that much HP on the same car, on back to back runs. So again, it's all personal perference on the look and sound. IMO. Plus what's the price difference between the two??

Ive heard from dealers that the v2 only gives you 1-2 more hp for a hundred dollars more.
