A/C question

How does your A/C perform in the very hot temperature?
Today was 95F, and extreemly humid. It felt like my A/C could really keep up... Does it mean I have a problem, or very hot conditions degrade the cooling effect ?

It was about 90ºF and humid here in Philly. My car was a cool 69ºF inside without much noticable effort.

I think our A/C kicks assssss. It makes the car icy cold
in a matter of a few minutes.

I live in the same area. Actually I've only noticed weakness when I was stacked in the traffic ( maybe because there is no direct wind blow in the radiator).
Maybe I should go to dealership and have my A/C checked... I think it used to work better when I just got the car.

Today in Northern Cal. it reached 100 degree's ! Of course its dry as opposed to humidity (one reason I left the South). Just leave it set at 60 and it should be fine. If your not comfortable, bring it to your dealerships for a test. Keep in mind, that our AC systems are NO longer asbestis (spelling) based, but NON aspestis and don't work as well as the old systems......

I hope you dont mean ASBESTOS!!!!!!!
Asbestos was used as insulation for attics, and water pipes all the way up to about the early 70's, and is some NASTY SHIET!!!! It was NEVER used inside an A/C system. It was used in commercial building to wrap around the heating and air conditioning ducts!!! It was also used to fireproof buildings. It will give you lung cancer faster than smoking a pack a day for 10 years!!!!
The old systems were FREON based, which destroys the ozone.
The new systems, from about 94 - 95 and on, are a NON-FREON based.
Freon gets colder and gets colder faster.

I have NEVER had a problem with the A/C not getting cold enough!! I would have it checked just to be safe!!!
