A/C kick (auto-tranny)

I'm noticing that when I'm stoped at a light and I have the A/C on the car nudges forward when the compressor kicks in.

It's quite annoying because if I press on the breaks enough to keep the car in place, the kick is enough to get the car rolling again. Even if I jab on the breaks big time, the car jolts a little but doesn't move forward.

I've never had an A/C do that on my car before, I'm not sure if it's an Acura thing and I should learn to live with it or I should have the dealer look at it.

I hope it's not the very popular tranny problem you guys are talking about. the car has 41k miles, however I bought it a month ago, I have no idea what was done to it prior to my purchase. (Certified-Pre owned)

Thanks,
Phil

Yes, that’s quite normal with the Auto Tranny.
I had one for 2-years and it was annoying at times.
Just have to get used to holding the brake a little bit harder.

Kind of like the reverse of driving a stick shift car and worrying about rolling BACKWARDS on a hill.

Yep, I hate that. Too often the car next to me thinks I'm trying to jump them off the line at a light or something.

It's weird but after I had the UR crank pulley installed I haven't noticed the A/C... Could be pure coincidence though.

Hold that damn brake pedal or meet the ass of the person in front of you

Reversal of Shawn's "rolling backwards" mention
