Bye Bye CL-S, hello MDX

Well, the day finally came, and I got my deal. I went to Ed morse acura in Ft lauderdale and got the deal i wanted to get myself out of my cl-s. The deal is, MDX touring with Navi, in midnight BLUE, 599 a month, 48 months, 12thousand miles a year (which the dealer said wont matter cause they said this car holds its value so well, they'll take me out of my lease early with no fee if i wanted) all maintence free of charge ( added that for 14 a month along with windows etch for security which gives u 5grand if car is stolen), side steps included, pinstripe, plus they paid for the remaining 4 payments of my cl-s which was total of $1910, and i can keep the car for the 4 months as well, not sure how long im going to keep it for, but probally will for atleast a month or 2, i have to check with DMV on how much it will cost to have the 2 on the road. Let me know what you think of my deal, and heres 2 pics of my X. thank everyone for all the info i recieved from ALL THE CL-S crew. Ill Still hang around the furom, but ill probally be seen more on the acuramdx forum. thanks again and good luck to eveyone and there cls.

Neat car, I do like the MDX. But I frankly don't get why this is a deal. I'm not trying to flame, but you're paying $30K over the next 4 years, and at the end of 4 years, you've got nothing. Why not buy the MDX? It still will be worth $20K at the end of 4 years, and there's no way it's worth $50K today. I'd sure hope the dealer paid a few months on your CL, he owed it to you. For $600/month, you could have leased a $70K BMW.

Yeah $599 a month is pretty damn steep why did you lease?

Regardless the MDX is one of the sweetest SUV on the road.

The dealer didn't pay for anything, they rolled the payments in the lease. While the deal isn't that horrid, I have heard worse, it is easily beatable. The only explanation is that they rolled in the remaining payments on the CL (which is why he can keep the car for the remaining 4 months). Nothing weird about it, they just buried the negative equity.

The payment is also high due to the other stuff he added, like Window etching and what not.

Telling the customer "Oh, we are covering the payments" is BS though.

Also, you can lease a $70k BMW for $600/month.....all you have to do is put down about $7k-$8k.

If you go to Acura.com and run the lease calculator it comes to $600 a month if you add the $1900 on the CL-S in. It really depends on how much sales tax you pay in FL though. I think buying would be a better deal because a) it isn't much more and b) you can sell the car whenever you want. Despite what the dealer says it is hard to get out of a lease without paying big pentalties.

well, i posted the same thing on the mdx forum and they all said its a good deal. I also talke to a buddy of mine in NY and he was doing a lease for a MDX without navi and he was gettin 525 a month for it, not sure if thats with or without tax, but prob no tax, he said that navi is almost 60 a month, and thats what i was payin. 585 a month tax included. i added the window etch and car care, and that made it 599 a month. that didnt included the 1900 my car cost them to take back.
I am sad to see the cls go, but it was time. i was havin probs with it, felt the tranny was goin to go again, along with other probs, like 4 blow outs, lots of scratches on the rims, dented bumper, not enough room inside. I gave this car 3 years of greatnesss. Fl is a fun state to have a car like this, believe me, i met my gf when i had this car, many nites drivin home from miami at 140mph. Just a all around wonderful car and im sad to see it go, but i wanted a little more car. i got a great gf, who hopefully will be more soon, then theres kids, and ofcourse theres my huge dog who loves cars.

not sure what im doin with the rims, my buddy said he would buy them if they fit his audi A4, but not sure if they do. if they dont ill sell them to someone on this board. no other real mods inside the cl-s except lots of light bulbs, and flowmaster exaust, and well thats goin to stay.
