Buying AEM CAI

I am thinking about getting the CAI ($213.95) from Autocarparts. Is it necessary to purchase the Air By-Pass valve with the CAI?

If you want to play it safe, get one. I just recently ordered mine with a bypass valve. I dont want to take any chances. But thats just me.

As long as you don't drive through 1ft. deep water you should be ok without bypass. It rains alot where I live and I don't worry about it. Plus more hp. without and have heard of sucking up into TB lately!

Because you never know what situation you can end up with, go with the safe route and get the $40 valve...It is cheaper than a $3000 engine!
