Damn, sounds like trouble. Good luck with the fix.

Note: I think Amisconception still has the CT Clutch/Flywheel combo in his 6 MT.

No telling until you get in there and see how the surface of the flywheel looks. Hopefully it's not too cooked. I think anyone that has done a V6 Honda clutch should be able to handle this job fine. I think they both use the same pressure plate.

How did the dealer come to this conclusion? Did they open it up? If they didn't how can they say it's the "pressure plate" Those symptons don't match a clutch problem. I'd take it to that other shop & have them look it over. If indeed you need a whole new clutch setup I wouldn't get raped at a dealer that's for sure. And as stated you do need a new flywheel because of the dual mass setup you can not resuface it....well you can, but you might have probelms with it down the road.

yea i decided to go get it fixed at another shop that i know of and if it isnt the pressure plate that went bad then im guessin they will be able to find out so yeah. just hoping smoething works out to my favor atleast.
