Bumper dent

Came out from the mall and lo and behold I noticed my bumper like this. Normally I would be pissed off, but it's just a car. What do you think it's going to cost? I'm going to bring it to a local body repair shop which works on high end cars like Lexus/Mercs etc tomorrow. Also going to stop by and see what my local Infiniti dealer would charge. I figure two days to repair hopefully.Bumper Ding

Try this first..

Before you spend the money on the repair, try this first. See if you might be able to reach behind there and pop it out. The whole bumper is plastic, and hopefully there is no signficant paint damage.

If you can't easily get to it, try to remove the bumper and pop it out..

I'd say $250-$350. If you can pop it out and there isn't any paint damage and it pops out smooth that would be awesome, but if not it's gonna run you a few.

People who do shit like this should be shot. Seriously. They could have left a note. Just happened to me a few months ago and the guy left a note. That restored some of my faith in people.

$563 painted and installed for a new one. Some a**hole at work hit me and left no note.

If you pop out the dent...the paint will probably be craked....or spidered at the least. It will be around $300 to fix the right way.

I had this with the front bumper, I was able to pop it out, non of the paint was damaged, except for really thin scratches from the other car. But the plastic bumper still had a bit of a crease in it.

Thanks for the replies. It's going to cost $680 to get it repaired because I need a new bumper. I was wondering, should I tell them to save my old one and maybe try to sell it on Ebay for like $100 or something????? Well, it's going in on Monday and I should get it back Tuesday afternoon.

Hell yeah, get your bumper back. Those bodyshop assholes are going to repair it and sell it to someone else as OEM. And it is yours. Selling it on Ebay to someone with really bad damage to there bumber seems like a good enough idea.
