Bug Guts!

Bug Guts!
I finally washed my filthy car today. It had a week's worth of dust and bug guts all over it! I tell you what, not only does the Acura paint chip easily, it is also a bitch to remove the bug guts from it!!! I have never had so much trouble, even when using Turtle Wax bug and tar remover. And yes, my car does have a pretty fresh coat of wax too.

Yeah it is a real pain to get bug guts off this car especially the love bugs. I wash the front of the car and the side mirrors everyday during love bug season and it is still a real pain in the ass to get them off.

No more scratches thanks to the dumbass who walked on my car and had to pay to have it repainted.

This is a too little too late story, but...
If you wipe the bugs off or at least "tamp" them with a wet paper towel when you drive home or to your location, they will come off pretty easy (with good Zaino or Wax) BEFORE they start eating into the paint.
I've been really good about removing bugs from "trips" and they wipe right off. I use a soft towel, and also tamp with these blue paper shop towels I get at Pep boys (they come in a roll or big box and are great for door jambs or "tamping" (NOT RUBBING)).
The faster you can get them off the car (even if you don't get all of it off), the easier it is on you *and* your car's finish.
I didn't realize that I had some tiny pinhead drops of tree sap on the car, and I normally can get the stuff of the same day in about 10 minutes (complete). Once that stuff starts to burrow in, it is a much bigger job, as it is with tar, bubble gum, bugs, and other paint killers.
(Just a thought or ten...)

Bugs come off my car no problem, even the big ones that leave the quarter sized splats. Coat your car with Zaino, it helps get them off.

I will try the instant removal suggestion though. Thanks Eric.
