I noticed a chip in my windshield when washing it the other day. The next morning, I had a crack about 6" long.
This morning it was over a foot long!!!

Anyone had to replace their windshield?

Should I go to Acura, or do you think auto glass installers will suffice?

Anyone know an estimated price?

 

it should be anywhere from about 400-500 depending on the place, if you want OEM glass or Honda glass... check out www.ppgautoglass.com for information and ppg approved glass installers in your area, ppg glass is exactly the same as the Honda glass, every lil black dot (hence, OEM), I had good experience and my current windshield is ppg, no distortion also...

 

Insureance covered my windsheild when it broke. See if you have glass coverage.

 

any reason not to go to the dealer?

 

Mine was already replaced by my dealer because they broke it while servicing the broken rear view mirror. Anyway, they didn't replace it themselves but farmed it out to a local glass place in/about Maple Shade, NJ.
