Broken Tranny

I have an 03 CLS auto W/ 73k miles. I was driving and my tranny stared to slip. The next thing I know my check engine light turned on and I was only able to get fourth gear. I wasn't to concerned because I was under the impression that Acura would replace it if it had under 105K miles. That wasn't the case. I called Acura and they informed me that only 99-02 and some select 03's were covered. I'm really fustrated right now and would like some guidance. Is what Acura telling me true? What should I do? Anything would help.

What they are saying is true. Unless the last 4 digits fo your vin# is under 5,000, you are not covered. Acura told me that they would pay for the transmission if I paid for the labor. This is probably what will happen for you. Good luck.

yes what they told you was true...if anything you should call acura client services to see if you can work out some kind of deal with them....for example...you pay the labor and they pay for the tranny...or vice versa...it doesnt hurt to try...good luck man..
