Bridgestone Turanza LS

Thanks to this board I went to a wider tire: 235/45*17's, even though Tirerack advises against it. Well, thats a great size! I was hoping they might look wider on the car but its not noticeable. They don't bulge and look like they might be stock size they fit so well.

I choose the new Bridgestone Turanza LS cause my main goal was a quiet tire. Unfortunately, they are only available in a Z-rating so you gotta be ready to spend some extra bucks. Results so far:

1) They are quieter than the Michelin MXM (which had 23k on em). I carry a sound meter: the difference is exactly 1db quieter. They also seem to lower the pitch a bit which is less annoying.
2) It feels like I'm driving on rails. Turn the wheel, even slightly, and the nose follows immediately. At first I thought I had hit a rut cause the nose moved so fast.
3) It feels like road imperfections are slightly more absorbed.
4) Can't wait for the rain - being in Oregon I won't have to wait long.

Are these 235/45's on the stock CL-S rims?

The tires were $190.00.

Not stock rims but same size as stock rims: 7"*17". They are Momo rims which the Acura Dealer sold and put on the car when I bought it (new, as part of the purchase price).

Just noticed a reason on Tirerack why you might want to think about a Z-rated tire. The Turanza Revo (different tire) shows a big improvement in noise and ride comfort between the H-rated and Z-rated versions.
