Break in period qustion

I have just about 180 miles on my new CL-S. I read all the breaking procedures. However I have to get on a HW & drive 15 miles to work, then do the same going home. Traffic really moves at like 80mph. The on ramps are short, so I have to gun the engine to merg, & then do 80MPH like everyone else. Is this going to affect the breakin? I really don't have many options but to drive this way.

You should be fine. Just try to vary your speed (RPM's) a little, and "try" not to WOT..

I had a similar highway problem. So the first couple weeks I had the car I drove it around A LOT on the weekends to break it in. Some highways, some side roads. I would avoid really gunning it at the mileage you have. At least try not to hit the VTEC (4800).

I dont think it really matters. Besides the computer is suppose to "learn" and "adapt" to the way we drive anyways. I taught it to go to about 6800rpm as soon as i pulled out of the dealer. I want my car to be used to my way of driving from the beginning. Isnt that what you are suppose to do to ur kids anyways, teach them young, or else they'll never learn. Besides thats what the warranty is for. Plus from all the tranny failing, dont u want it to fail before your warranty ends? I guess if you are worried, then just dont do it alot before the first 600 miles.
