Brand spanking new actuator!

Old thread was here

I just got back my car from the dealer, and they fixed it. I got a brand new actuator valve, and it even works!

Didn't cost me a single cent. The service advisor was really nice to me throughout the whole affair. All in all, I have to say to Stevens Creek Acura.

I talked to Robert Paris, my service advisor at Stevens Creek Acura about mods. He says CT mods are totally honored. I told him that I'm getting the AEM CAI, and he says they will still honor your warranty unless they prove that it is the fault of the CAI. In other words, it's all good bro!!!

Check your actuator. Look at the thread I started (see my first post) or do a search on "actuator" or read the FAQ. No way a TLP can hang with a CLS, stock for stock.

I have mine on order and should be in by the end of this week. Did you get any docs on what they did or the any diags??

For NCers: Performance Acura in Chapel Hill NOW knows about the bypass valve ("after talking to an Acura Tech somewhere in CA.").

I didn't take it to the dealer. I read some previous posts and they said you can hear it click open. I had my gf rev while I listened and I heard it click.

You may want to physically LOOK at the actuator while your gf revs it. I mean, your CLS lost to a TLP! It kinda makes me wonder what that clicking sound is...

RaleighNC & cnatra:
I was supposed to fax my paperwork to cnatra this morning but I forgot to bring the docs. I'll try to remember tomorrow...

it actually moves

took the plastic cover off, looked at the actual actuator, looked at where the cable leads and they both move when the actuator clicks.
