Can anyone answer why our Owner's Manual recommend to use 5W30 and 5W20 for the TL-S? Which brand of oil are you guys using? I am near my first oil change...please advise!

Our oil caps must be from the TL since the thing says 5W20 on it and the manual says 5w30.

about what? they invented synthetic oil for autos, all tech tests prove they are the best. www.amsoil.com I took one of their filters apart and it was very similar to mobil1 ($9.99) or STP ($2.99) all made by the same manufacture ??? soooooo for me it's amsoil 5w30 + STP filter

We're were doing all of our synthetic oil changes with Mobil 1 until we recently signed on with Redline Oil. Although the Redline oil change is significantly higher, the guys that are purchasing it are very satisified. At some point in the future we are considering running one of our all-motor cars on the dyno before AND after switching from Mobil 1 to Redline. The company claims an actual hp gain when you upgrade to their oil. We'll see...

hey, just put Mobile 1 5w-30, and change it like every 7500 miles. Saves time & money, and better for your engine.
