For the past month or two i've been noticing that my brakes are making a weird noise that has been getting worse over time. And i'm not sure if it has anything to do with the noise but my braking has been getting worse ( distance and brake feel) the best comparison i can make of the way it sounds is almost like an old rusty door hinge and it sounds dry and like it needs lubing (i know you dont lube brrakes its just a comparison) PLEASE HELP the only thing i can think of is that the noise is coming from the calipers probably the piston

All of the symptoms you stated sound like your brake pads need to be replaced.

Ya let us know how many miles are on the car and if the pads have ever been changed. Also, are the rotors OEM?

when i last checked my pads (about 3 months ago) they were only about half way worn down so thats why i didnt assume that it was the pads causing the noise. Plus i didnt think that pads could cause that sort of noise. I usually assocciate pad noise with a screeching sound
