Cool Brakes, calipers, discs? help

I have a 2003 cl-s 6 ive noticed that when braking from high speeds my whole car starts to wobble and shake like a beiotch any one know what that is about? Also i just want a whole new braking sytem cause my discs are thinning a little bit nothing terrible and my breaks are almost shot and calipers are stock im only 18 and got school and work so i got little time to put as much effort in reasearching as i do driving. Thanks for any advice.

Your rotors are warped.

Can we please turn this into a FAQ style thread for all brake related options? I ned to locate some NSX calipers and know what else is needed to make them bolt up.

If your short on time and money then I say get a set of cheapo rotors from your local auto parts store and bed them in properly. Then if the rotors warp, you can resurface them until they are at their minimum then get another cheap set. A lot of rotors will warp on our cars without having to spend quite a bit of money.

Some of the cheaper rotors from auto parts stores also have a free lifetime replacement. If they warp, no need to resurface, just replace them.

Thanks for all the help! Glad i joined the community. As far as brakes go is ceramic the way to go? Any suggestions for calipers? Sorry im a noob at cars but after my first car which was a 95 c280 benzo i crashed into a telephone pole hah i got the cl-s-6 black on black no nav with 64,000 miles for $11,000 and now that the weather is getting back to how it should be im really loving the car and how i smoke kids in my school with 2011 wrx, 09 mazda speed 6, mazda rx8, bmers of all sorts as well as fart cans which stand no chance against my stealth bomber to begin with, Im really trying to get into my car more and make it the best it can be. Oh and btw whoever sold this beauty of a car to sutliff chevorlet in exchange for a truck THANK YOU! i found this site from the black stickers you put on the rear windows. Anyways thanks to all for the advice you give and continue to give.

I think ceramic is OEM composition so I would stick with that, but I think its hard to get anything other then ceramics if your getting OE equivilent pads anyways.

My auto place only had the rotors with 2 year replacement warranty but at least I had them say that the warranty covered warpage. Many don't so just check.

all you need is 95 nsx calipers, thats it, they are a direct bolt on and use the same exact pad.

I think I have an old post with pictures

Do you have a link to that thread, and why not 1998+ NSX calipers? And any difference in clearance between those and the oem cl calipers?

91-96 nsx front calipers work because they are a direct fit, 97 and up they went up in size and will not bolt up because they increased the size of the rotors as well as the caliper, and if I am not mistaken they did that because I want to say they went to the c32a engine with a 6 spd.

Here is the link to the thread I started.
