Brake Lamp ON
Brake Lamp ON
so the "Brake Lamp" is lit up on my dash, looked in the manual and it says that this means one of your brake lights are out....but all of mine are fine. Is there anyway to reset this light?

That might work but honestly I had the same situation and my mechanic just topped off my brake fluid and it corrected the issue.
It never discussed that in the manual but he said it would work and it did.
Hasn't come on since then.

ehhh i hope your not bringing your car to jiffy lube
"Clean exterior windows

Check tire pressure
Check and top off the following fluids:
-transmission/transaxle fluid
-differential fluid
-power steering fluid
-windshield washer fluid
-battery water (excluding sealed batteries)"

If your "BRAKE LAMP" indicator is on, just try and unplug and replug them. But if your "Parking BRAKE" indicator is on, then that is when the topping off of fluid will help.....teh lil float gets stuck sometimes!
haha... jiffylube... worked there for a year, my store was super scandalous.
brake light... mine did the same thing, the problem for mine was that the little 'buoy' attached underneath the brake reservoir cap was clogging up, so all i did was got a screw driver and wedeged it out... slid it up and down a few times... and light never came on again. a mechanic at a local shop said that the 'buoy' thing was a sensor that checks the brake fluid, and my 'buoy' was getting stuck towards the bottom of the reservoir, telling the computer that my fluid was low.
