From a business perspective, it makes sense, particularly in this economic environment...

It costs money to hold inventory idle. I guess comanies are moving toward just-in-time to reduce overhead...

Translation: we wait on santa clause like all the other kids...

i got one of there high flow cats too like a month or so ago, and i only had to wait like 2 weeks max (like a week to build it and work into there scheadle (sp?) then like a week with shipping, so it actually was not too bad of a wait

so about the same two week window for me ,

only thing i don't like about it, is that it kinda stretches the wiring for the rear o2 (and you have to unhook the wiring connecter from the body in order for it to stretch far enough to connect) (also the ecu still seems to be happy [no light] with the cat so i don't have any type of o2 fixer thing in it right now)

also you have to find gaskets (doesn't come with gaskets ) for it too, rear one is just a universial one, but the front one i used a jeep mainfold one with 2 of the bolt holes repunched, to fit our bolt pattern on the headers, but otherwise that gasket fits perfect

I ordered on Nov 29th to take advantage of the free shipping and was told that I may get a tracking number by the end of this week...tack on another week for the cheapest and slowest ground shipping, and I'm looking at the week before xmas, maybe...

I was thinking about it SERIOUSLY!!!
Then I read the Competch write up they did on the 2003 CL with the body kit http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...specialty_file

and they had concerns about getting the power to the ground. Then I read about all the extra shit I will need to upgrade likely (clutch, etc) and I was like.....awwww F-it!

Got the loot, but wondering how drivable it will be for 200,000 miles on boost when I only have 20,000 on there now...

I didn't order the cat, although I might need one. I got headers, axlebacks and icebox...they said the headers were not in stock.

the comptech tune isnt the best. also getting an greddy or aem engine management unit will give more gain and a safer tune. the 3rd gen tl guys hate the comptech tune.

also depends on teh place u go to to get the tune. im going to sound performace. well know shop and most highly modified cars go their.

i figured it wouldnt last for very long. i say stay out of the BM because your bound to see something you want but may not need. thats how i got about my mods. wasnt looking for anything to buy but saw stuff for really good prices. which is why im on rim set #4 in one year and a half. your going to love that power increase when those headers come in.

What cam I expect in terms of total HP gain from the combination of the header, intake and exhaust??
50HP?

Stock we're only putting down about 225 right? (I know they claim 260)

260 is at the crank.

I did the thermal gaskets, im spacer & headers and felt some bump in power, then I did a Uni Chip and highflow cat & 2 1/2" exhaust to Magnaflows and felt some bump, then I did the 09 IM and WOW! huge gains.

I have no clue what I have but I am getting times no one believes and the car feels amazing!

I am getting a SC so I guess will be forced to get a dyno as it is part of getting a tune.

I would suggest getting a baseline dyno just so you have a true number for your car to compare to.

Mine put down 218hp/206tq 110% bone stock on a DynoJet, a Mustang Dyno will be slightly lower.

The real test is the 1/4 mile, however as a dyno is simply a tuning device.

The manifold & cover from Acura was 350.00, there is a spacer/adapter from P2R that allows the TB to attach that was 80.00, to take advantage of the increased 80mm intake bore I got a wider IM from P2R for I think 250 and got 50 back when I sent my old one in.

Of course the IM is not obligatory

Yes the IM bolts right up, only the Throttle Body needs an adapter.

It is odd, it seems to make a difference in B map but it may honestly be the placebo effect.

It'll be in the BM after I get my SC as I'll use the crappy CT box until I decide If I go AEM or eManage.

Hod do you like your SC?

Can't believe I am here,

I WAS DONE MODDING LAST NOVEMBER!!!
