Bought Another "S"

Yesterday, I traded my wife's TL for a 2003 TL-S. Night Hawk Black Pearl with Parchment interior and the Acura spoiler. She is in the real estate business and needed a 4-door, otherwise we would have bought another CL. I might keep this one stock...well maybe CompTech headers. Her 2002 TL had 25,000+ miles and had no sign of tranny problems. She had trouble deciding between the "S" and a 2003 Honda Accord EX-V6. I might of had a little to say in helping her make her decision.

Because this is the best buy for the money. It has luxury and performance for a fair price. I'd problably pay $7-10K more for an equal model in a Bimmer... and Honda makes the best engines in the world bar none. The BMW engines are good, but can be very fussy at times. The worst car I ever had was a Mercedes. It couldn't get out of it's own way and was an oil burner.

Congrats!

I like the Nighthawk Black exterior and Parchment interior combo (see my sig). I think it's a classy adult look.

Thanks. My wife wasn't sure about black because we live in FLA., but the Parchment interior will be cooler than the black.

Congrats Pappy! Good choice...but why get rid of the '02? Just wanted the Type S performance?

Did you consider the G35 sedan? Curious what your thoughts were of that car. My brother got one a few weeks ago, so now there is an '03 G and and '03 CLS in the garage! Looks nice...but I think mine is still faster although his interior a lot more updated than mine.

Enjoy the TLS!

I usually trade my wife's car every 12-18 months because of the mileage she puts on going back and forth to work.

If you compare the G35 to the TLS you'll see that the interior is much better in the "S," actually, even the build quality including engine engineering is better in the Acura. The G looks a little more modern, but I have to go with experience on this one.
