My boss at work has a 2005 BMW 740IL. He hates the thing actually. I was doing some outside work for him & I was following him back to the office. We lined up at a light. I lit up the tires & just spun most of first gear, so he got a good jump. Once I got traction I was off, caught up at 30, even till 45 then I pulled on him to 80. He was only 1/2 a car back, not much at all. We get back to the office & again tells me he hates his $$ BMW crap box.
I was expecting to be beat above 50 since all that V8 power comes on around that speed.
Even with the V8 the weight must kill the thing. I've driven it a few times & the thing feels SO heavy.

My current CLS 6mt is all stock.

 

nice. my brother has a 740 but we've never gotten around to racing.
