BMW vs. Lexus
I thought it was funny. Of course Acura vs. Lexus would be more in tune with us.

I would hate a car too if it looked better than mine, performed better than mine and kicked my ass everytime I went to a red light. I can kick an IS300 ass driving my car in reverse and having the guy look at me laugh at him even trying with the pimped out corolla.

Oh yeah I can kill you in my GS430. M3's pa blow those away all day long in reverse, going forward, side ways, upside down, anyway possible. I pass M3's as if they were standing still.

What I mean is I blow M3's away in any of my cars all day long no comp. When the new 333hp junk M3 comes out that will atleast be some comp. Just enough so im not bored.

well for that 43K+ a 98 m3 sold for...
I can buy an Is300 goto swift racing buy a supercharger, get H&R coil-overs have a 5 year-old blow you away behind the wheel...while I stand out the sun roof and piss on your m3...
As I recall the m3 is marked up almost 12 grand from dealer invoice! no wonder I will only buy BMWs on the gray market...I am glad that there are BMw purest around...I sold my place in line for a new m3 for enough change to buy me another "toy car"
If you want to race a GS4 I can have my friend Will meet you somewhere in Chicago...
and I'll guarantee that his car will blow away your m3, any 2001 factory m5,e55, z8, etc...and its an automatic...ohh I guess you have not read reviews on the toyota v8s or the tt supra engine...basically the best engines manufactured...
oh by the way Will's car also has the swift racing supercharger stage 2 500+ hp at the rear wheels...and it was still cheaper and better looking than the 540.

BTW...The stock M3 cuts off at 137MPH and is capable of 155MPH with the ECU reprogrammed.

There are no dreams in my reality of experience. A track with hardcore curves is no contest, you win without me adding braces, springs etc. but out on the streets it's different. Stock v stock I tear up E36 M3s.

Just thought you air filled Lexus guys would like to see what Car and Driver has to say about the GS400 vs. the BMW 540i. Also, oppsy, did they say that GS400 comes SECOND to the 540i? I bet I am going to get responses now saying "Man, Car and Driver don't know jack!" or "They don't know how to test cars!". To those responses I will say ahead of time "Hah!" Enjoy your LEXUS GS400! Hey, don't feel bad. Some people like the underdog.

Sure C&D is correct, but they fail to mention the $8000 more the 540i costs...I am sure most people would buy the BMW if it was the same Price. Hell I wanted the 540i 6 speed but the best deal I got was about $9700 more then my gs4, and for that much I could get the level one SR supercharger and the H&R coil-overs.
Like many here on this fourm would be driving a 330ci if it was around $30-32k...instead of 43k.

I hate to admit it, but your right! As for the 98 M3 losing to the Audi S4, no biggie, we'll try a rematch with the 2001 M3 and 2001 Audi S4 =) I think they should just give the winners circle respect to the ///M.

because there are two sitting in my garage. (LS and SC) Both right next to the CL.
Toyota makes GREAT luxury cars, but BMW is GREAT too. I prefer both over Mercedes since the MB's are so...old man type cars.
If I were Acura, I'd be pissed at Lexus since the luxury division was first thought of by Honda. But then Lexus whooped Acuras ass in terms of sales and prestige.
