Blue interior lights
With winter coming, more darkness, and more passengers these days, I am thinking about replacing the trunk light and the dome light and possible the side door lights with a blue coloured bulb intstead of the white. Thoughts? Anyone else done this?

Yeah it's pretty easy. I think the door lights and the 2 map lights are the M4's, I could be wrong though. The dome light, not sure which Mx bulb it is, barely fits in the holders but it will work fine.

hhahaha
all wedge bulbs....at least from piaa that is
i have piaa extreme's for all my interior and HID-wanna-be wedge bulbs for the trunk and license plate....all the same shiet
nope....that's a mistake....the dome lights are a different they look like huge vitamins or something...the smaller piaa bulbs will fit if you adjust the metal clamps inward a bit
i like the effect....it's not blue....more like our HID's that give off blue but with less intensity......
looks kindda neat since i have dark tints....friends say it looks like a jet from a distance.....i dun mind

i put in raybrig platinum white for dome/map lights...very white but looks a little blue through tint. for my doors, got blue raybrigs...looks awesome IMO. also put in generic blue light for trunk.
my only suggestion is that you find a set of bulbs from a given manuf....i got the doors and could never find blue raybrigs to match them

A little somethin' for the FAQ...
To have neon wire under your dash like me, you need:
1:
from www.beingseen.com
1:
Car adaptor from Radio Shack
1:
Soldering Iron and a bit of solder. (Don't burn yourself, Amir!)
1:
Pair of stready hands.
Lots:
Thin zipties.
Here's the basic and somewhat useful diagram they give ya at the website. We're using the top half of the diagram.
Step 1:
Solder the end of the Red wire coming from the AC Adaptor to the Switch. Solder the BLACK wire from the AC Inverter to the Switch. Solder another wire to the Switch and ground the other end somewhere (I forget where I grounded mine.)
Step 2:
Run the EL Wire where you want it under your dash. (Amir, you do not cut the EL wire, you use it as one long strand.)
Getting it through the center console under the dash is the hardest part, but can be done. Shine a flashlight through from the opposite side and look for the faint light to shine through. That is where you fish the wire through. Kinda near the back.
Step 3:
Now you must ziptie all your EL wire up and out of the way. We use zipties because if your car ever needs work done under there, you can just cut your stuff loose and re-ziptie it in the future instead of ruining $50 worth of stuff because the mechanics just ripped it up.
Step 4:
Attach the EL Wire to the Inverter (has a little plug for this).
Step 5:
Now here, in the console. Plug in the AC Adaptor.
Step 6:
Run the cord along the driver's side like so:
Reminders:
*Ziptie all your wires and the switch and Inverter up under the dash securely.
*Make sure the switch is somewhere you can get to easily enough.

Pics of passenger side:
TOTAL TIME:I had a friend help me. It took somewhere around two hours. We pioneered the install job though, so it took us longer than if we'd had all these helpful instructions and pics.
I did this install like six months ago, so these instructions are from memory.
Amir Install Time: 3.5 days.
Pics will be taken down sometime tomorrow, so grab the instructions and pics NOW if you want them.

Instead of the Minimax, try the Polarg M-28 dome light. Unlike the Polarg M16 that many have used, it is the same size as the stock bulb and matches the color of the other Polarg interior lights. I heard the color of the Minimax is not a perfect match to the other Polarg bubs.

The neon-light stuff looks pretty neat but looks like a lot of work for now.

It's certainly good FAQ material, but can you repost the pictures?
I can move them over to my site if you are hard on space.
