Blind Spot Rear View Mirror & A Pillar

My daughter and I both own CLs and have complained to each other about the BLIND SPOT when making a left turn. It seems that the left rear-view mirror is incorrectly positioned and/or the A pillar is too thick. Plus the mirror and housing may be too large.
Has anyone else noticed this design "flaw"?

can't say that i've had blind spot trouble on the left side, but then again, i always physically turn to look instead of using my mirrors. i have a small problem on the right read side, just like any other car's blind spot, so again, i turn just to make sure. somehow, i just have a trust issue with my mirrors. i never trust them alone. but that's just me.

Yes, the subject has been brought up before. I have to lean WAY forward at times to look around the A pillar.
I bought some after market convex mirrors because of the blind spots on the passenger side mirror.

Yes, the blind spot there is deffinetly a problem. On the new TLs, the mirror are different design and thus the blind spot is less but still there. You just have to be aware of it when turning left.

The one thing that unites all human beings, regardless of age, gender, religion, economic status or ethnic background, is that deep down inside, we ALL believe that we are above average drivers.

yup, I have this problem too. I have to lean over to see sometimes.

Hopefully this wont hurt anyone, and if it does then sue those bastered who designed this thing...
