Okay, everybody, check this out... my friend Scott has a 2001 CL-S with an AEM CIA, and custom headers & exhaust, he pulled up next to a neon (kitted out, but still...) at a light and at green, they both floored it, and he got his ass dusted!! The neon pulled over, and it was a girl driving, she told him he didn't know how to drive and laughed at him. Now, Scott is a hell of a driver, he's also got a 2000 Type-R Integra that he rips shit in all the time, it wasn't his driving skills, just that girl's neon was fucking fast. Anybody else got any embarrassing stories of getting beaten by some American-made shit?

i lost to a neon once when i just had headers and aem cai .................but he was spraying

 

2585 lbs vs. your friends car that was probably close to 3600lbs+ That's alot of weight. She must have had modifications on it because even the weight difference wouldn't warrent the CL-S getting toasted the neon. Either forced induction, headers, CAI, NOS something......THat must have hurt when a chick said you can't drive....ouch.

 

They did have the ACR club racer package...those were reasonably fast...basically, a Type-R Neon...stripped...meant for the track...pretty rare..and I doubt that chick would drive one of those....

That sucks! I would be hiding in shame if that happened to me. I would never think a neon could be that fast without falling apart. My friends girlfriend has a neon sport. One day we were joking about which was faster my passport(V6) or the neon. Well we went to race. The light turned green and we were off I got about a 1/4-1/2 a car length on it but once the neon hit 55 it got a little boost and pulled ahead. But still thats pretty weak if my heavy ass passport could keep up with a neon.

First time I took my Type S to the races, I made it to the final round in the 15.0 to 15.5 category. This was when I had no mods, i was running 15.3's @ 93. Got into the final with a neon r/t, had these ugly metal pipes stick wayyyy out in the back. he ran pretty solid, i pulled in 3rd gear, but not enough to catch him. his trap speed was 88 ... just a little more and i wouldn't won. damn was i pissed.

I was so fucking embarassed the other night. I was on RT. 30 on York, PA the other night and I saw a newer Chevy beretta all hooked up and thought it was kind of funny. I pulled up behind him at the red light. The light turned green and we took off. I got on it not even all of the way and passed him at about 60mph. We got stuck at the next redlight right beside each other and started talking. He started saying "man my car is so slow" and all this shit. So my boy in the car asks him if he wants to try again. Just then the light turns green and he takes me off the start. He was about a full car length ahead of me until about 85 when I started catching him, I had to let off though because I was getting off the exit. I dont know what the hell he had done to it, but I think he had nitrous or some shit. I saw he had exhaust and a bunch of decals all over it, but I didnt take notice to what they said. Very embarassing, getting beat by anything american that isnt a v-8

 

i would have traded her even up if it can tear up a modded v-6. it would have to come close to the legendary Mustang GT. I can see it on stangnet. I got TOAST buy a Neon . wanna talk bout your buddies never let you forget that one.
