Black on Black

In my search of the perfect combination, I am convinced this is the best way to go. I had been looking at Silver with Black interior, but I just gotta have black...and all the flaws that come with it.

I think the black interior compliments the black exterior perfect (much as it does with silver).

I want to hear some opinions from black/black owners from the south. I live in NC and although the heat is not as bad here in the summer, it can get pretty uncomfortable. I have a black truck with charcoal interior...I love the looks of it and sacrifice on the heat in the summer.

I know the paint will need to be waxed and clened religiously, but what about the leather. I want to know how the black leather is holding up after 1 to 2 years. Does the leather get extremely hot when driving or is it tolerable with AC or windows open? Are the rear seat headrests getting worn more so than the parchment colored headrests?

Being from NC and I'm in KS, I'm sure you know the heat is just as bad in these places are they are in most place in the US (except a few places in FL,TX,AZ,CA). Just not as long during the daytime and not all year.

During the extreme heat (over 100 degrees), I'm not really finding the black/black to be a problem as I did with other vehicles that I've owned. I think the glass tinting prevents the heat from getting too bad. Yes you can say the angle of the sun's rays are more direct further South so the enclosed air inside the cabin heats up further. But unless I park outdoors all day, I never encounter a cabin full of hot air that would cause you to immediately sweat or have to lower the window before you close the door.

The interior surfaces never become too hot to touch and the A/C appears to cool that down right away on high. Finally, the black interior is a pain to keep clean as you probably already know....which is another topic in and of itself.

I have a black/black one and it is a year old today. No problems with the leather or the heat. The perforations in the seats really help. Go for it.

Cool! I gotta have that interior. I know it will be hotter than the tan...but it looks real cool, especially at night with the Navi.

I spoke with the dealer and have decided to hold off until the truck sells...oh the waiting game.
