Better buy?

Which car is better to buy?

2003 Mazda6 with 0 miles
220 HP
192 pounds feet of torque
Automatic transmission

or...

2002 Acura TL Type-S with 30K miles
260 HP
232 Pounds feet of torque
Automatic transmission

or...

2001 Lexus IS300 with 20K miles
215 HP
218 Pounds feet of torque
Automatic transmission

Could you tell me some advantages and disadvantages of all cars?

Thanks

I t really depends on each car, and how well they were taken care of. Either way, I would stick with the Lexus or Acura... I tend to shy away from anything made by ford... I'd say go with the TL if it still has a warranty (tranny might go), otherwise get the Lexus... Good Luck.

out of those choices the the TL-S would be a great value. advantage of the 03 madza 6 would be that its brand new. the IS would also be a good choice because of its dependablity and brand name LEXUS. the only problem i would have with the 02 tl-s is the tranny. i dont know too much about the mazda 6 but from the pics ive seen and specs i would just take it out of the picture. cant compare the 6 to the tl-s and IS. the IS lacks the room of the tl-s. so bottom line tl-s FWD more power more room but could be problematic. IS 300 RWD better handling decent power decent room and probably trouble free. the acura will definetly be cheaper to maintain then the lexus too.

have you test drove these cars? if so which one do you like the best then go for it...

I'd go with the brand new Mazda if you're not hung up on the fact that it isn't a "premium" brand. Man, when I test drove one a few weeks ago, my CL would have been history if it had 2 less doors. It was so nice that I wouldn't feel like I'd "traded down" for a second. Having had completely trouble free Mazda's before and basically being dissappointed with my first Acura's fit/finish (rattles bad bad paint) and transmission woes it would be an easy switch for me.

How can Lexus IS300 be more expensive to maintain if it's more reliable than all of the 2 cars? I mean, I have never had same car for like 10 years, so of course, I would probably get a new car in 5 years or so...

Oil changes might be more expensive on the Lexus. When I looked at the TLS and the GS4, I was surprised to see the price difference. The again this was at the dealer and the IS is not nearly as expensive as a GS4.

if u want or only care for :

- speed: then go with the TLS or get the 6 (i'm sure they'll have plenty of aftermarket stuff for it to fast(er). The is300 can go fast but after spending 35k+ for the car then some Ks more

- handling: IS or 6... CL and TL are like a boat. Definetly not nimble and just dont do it for me in this area

- quality, refinement, best built quality: IS300

- looks/show: TL is too drab for me so i'd go with IS or 6... but its very subjective of course

- value: 6

The 6 seems like the best 'bang4bucks' but it definetly wont be built to Lexus or *cough* acura *cough* standards.... meaning in the long-run the 6 may not hold up as well.

And the 6 is in the first year production so it'll have its share of its "bugs" to deal with

I'd go TL-S, the IS300 is too small, and the Mazda didn't do anything for me when i saw it at the S.F. auto show.
