Best universal resonator for stock piping?

Hey all,

Am going to take the advice of some board members and look into quieting my CT exhaust down with a resonator of sorts.

I'm looking to:

1) replace the stock resonator with something that will mute aggressively (but hopefully retain a nice tone in the end)

or

2) just slap an xtra resonator (not as aggressive at muting as #1) somewhere on the b-pipe (of course will have a shop do it).

my main assumption is to just go with magnaflow; does anyone have any information or leads to what product i could look at (or where i coulf pick it up cheapest?)

thanks in advance.

I guess so far, this is what i'm looking @.

i'm just wondering whether I should replace the stock resonator with the 22" or just slap a 14" resonator somewhere into the b-pipe...

try performancepeddler.com for magnaflow products, they seem to have great prices

Just add another straight through muffler to the system, have you considered that?

seems weird that you are wanting to make it quieter, cause the Comptech axleback is pretty darn quiet as-is.

Could there be some rust somewhere allowing the exhaust to exit?

I think you should sell them and put the stock ones back on.

Yea the CTs are quite quiet for aftermarket. Like fsttyms1 said, quiet tips seems like the best for you. their cheaper than resonators, easily removable and you can DIY.
but i think you should have kept stock mufflers. They are quite free-flowing in the CL-S already and near silent. You only gain a few HP for aftermarket mufflers and most people do it on here for the added sound.
I think you should put the quiet tips on and see how much they help. but i dunno if the mufflers will look that good with the tips in. or sell your exhaust, get some money back and make your car quiet again. you will only lose a few HP, not noticable.
