I'm planning on putting some Type S emblems on my car (want to put 1 on each side near the front wheel wells - I've seen posts by people who have done it before, it looks pretty nice).

Anyways, before I put the emblems on, should I try to clean off the wax on that part of the car? I'm planning on doing a dawn/claybar soon on my car again anyways, so would it be a good time to put the emblems on after I do the dawn/claybar? (Obviously drying that section first).

People who have done JDM Inspire/Saber conversions, did you do anything to prep the area before you put emblems on your cars?

 

You do not want to wax. Just use a one of the wax and cleaners to assure no dirt or grime stay under the 3M tape other than that it will be coming/falling off in a few months.
