Question Best price on M lip for my CL-S???

I performed a search and didn't see any recent group orders for rear M spoilers. Where is the best price for one of these spoilers for my CL? I just saw one on ebay for $60...not painted, I assume.

Also, If I purchase one from ebay, where can I have it painted? I want to make sure the colors match. Do some places paint them for you? That would be a lot easier. Thanks.

From what i heard.. u want to go with OEM BMW 5 series Lip spoiler b/c it takes the paint better than the replica. It also bends better when u install it on ur trunk. I know c-c-c.net sells it for more than 100 dollars but if you can get them to give us a group buy price, I'm up for it. I've been looking for one but don't think I want to get one off ebay. Let me know if you consider doing that.

I'm guessing the one on ebay for $60 is a replica. Let's wait and see what other members have to say. If there is a company out there that paints them for us and then ships them, I am all in.

Yeah, well sometimes u come across OEM spoiler on ebay.. but that doesn't happen alot. You should be able to get it painted from any body shop for around 70 to 80 bucks.. at least that's what I was quoted by these members here. At most, I'm looking to spend 200 considering I can do my own installation. Keep updating this thread and see who else wants to go in with us. Thanks

DO NOT get the ones off ebay. People have a hard time with the paint, and they pop off. Just drop the extra dough and get them from www.c-c-c.net. And when you get your spoiler painted, get your engine bay cover done at the same time. I got everything done for $110

i got mine off ebay for 55 bucks shipped and its been on for over a month now...it looks perfect. paint looks flawless. couldnt be happier. im not sure if its a replica but if it us they did a damn good job on the mold cause it still says e46 i think on the bottom of it. isnt that the code for a BMW 5 series? IMO the ebay ones work fine. but if you have the money get the more expensive because i have heard of some problems with the ebay ones.

After reading some mixed comments and reviews, I might try one of the ones on ebay. For the price of only $60, it's worth a try, IMO.

I can either save $60, or spend $60 more for an OEM. It's a gamble I might to a chance on. Any other ideas from anyone???

I would still spend extra cash to have someone ship it to me already painted, but I don't think there is such a place. Any additional comments are welcome, since I haven't pulled the trigger yet...and plus I'll probably change my mind a few times before I take any action. Thanks guys.

So you paid about $130 for the spoiler from CCC.net, then another $110 to have it painted? Wow. $240 for that seems high to me. But I'm a cheap-skate.

Yeah, I do realize that. Thanks. I just figure I should be able to find someone to paint it for $50 or so. That way I'd have $60 in the material and another $50 or so in the cost for/to paint. I don't think $110 to $120 is that bad. What do you think?

Oh by the way, do you know what kind of a discount we could get if we went with a group buy? Anybody??? Bueller???? Bueller???

I think you misunderstood me....

I paid $110 to get my BMW M5 Lip Spoiler painted, AS WELL AS my top and bottom portions of my engine bay cover.

m5 Lip

Engine Bay

If you just have the spoiler done you should pay around 60 or so

To me, its worth it to buy the quality. I've heard nothing but problems with the replicas.

You would pay even more to have a stock spoiler put on and IMO the lip loox way better than the OEM Acura bench.

It may be a bit spendy but you did buy a luxury whip. Its not a civic (As Mcclaren would put it) lol

Point well-taken. I guess I'll have to think about it some more...depending on what the group discount will be. Your engine cover looks sweet. That's a very nice compliment to the car.

And thanks for your explanation.
