Best ever?
I had an 01 CLS. It's the only car I ever had that, after a couple of years, I didn't get new car fever. It was to be my "forever" car.
Then, in 2006, I totaled it (and darn near totaled myself - 7 weeks in the hospital; 6 months of recovery). Bummer!
But recently I got myself an 03 CLS 6spd.
Woo-Hoo!
excuse me, but I just wanted to post this again.
So, is the CLS the best Acura ever? The best car ever? It certainly is for me.

FWD means it will never be the best car ever. Add in crappy nav system, kinda crappy motor mounts, an automatic that's bound to fail, and more. Very small aftermarket adds to that too. Good car but not great.

I can agree with that. But only in the Acura family of cars.
I think the CLS is a decent car.
I've got 76K, 2nd tranny, 2nd owner, and it is kinda nickle and diming me latley. But most cars will after 60K miles.

My opinion it is the best bang for the buck! Has all the features u will ever need. Luxury, style and power! U dont see very many of the CL's on the road any more which makes the car rare. Not to mention the great gas milage it also gets. I still get compliments here and there on her. I love my ack!

i agree with most above...you just can't get tired of this thing!! my fav part is that it is so rare...i've only seen 2 other white CL's in the entire chicagoland area...and within a 35mile difference (one on 33rd street, other on lake cook road)!
the power is great too, can't complain and the 260HP (which i do have in my CLP! with H/CAI/P, i estimate 205 at the wheels) is very practical daily and also for the FWD setup...etc etc, you guys all know everything else i can say about it.
i've had it for 3 whole years, and like it even more than when i first got it...
i'll also throw in that sometimes i take it for granted but every new person that comes inside and goes for a drive anywhere (as i always drive in SS mode now!), seems to always end up saying "u have a really nice car...wait what is it again?"

My cl doesnt handle as good as my integra used to but besides that i got no complaints.
And who ever above me said the car is rare, theres like 2 other 6 spd ones in my small upstate new york town, plus a couple auto type s ones aswell.(But mines the best)

Not even close. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice car but I have had/been in much better. Yep I was already thinking of my next car 3 months after I got this one. If only I had the money.

best acura ever was a throw up between the legend and nsx, depending on who you ask. sad that their best car was mad well over 15 years ago.

Take any 01 thru 03 CL-S and do H/I/P, a drop, some decent rubber and you have a great car that is fun to drive. Plus you can go to the strip and do 14's easily and then go on a road trip and get 30 plus miles per gallon. With a VTEC V-6 up front fed by a CAI, well nothing sounds much better going thru the gears if you ask me. Just my 2CW!

I live just south of Richmond, but I haven't seen that many. Theres a lady with an 01 or 02 black type s that lives near me, and I've seen maybe 2 or 3 driving around. Mostly SSM. A chick at a Honda dealer has an anthracite type s, but its an auto. It's very stock but very, very clean. And I've seen 1 or 2 in VA Beach.
Most of the time they are Premium models.

I think the CL-s is ONE of the best. I've driven so many cars in the past nothing beats the reliability of this CL 6 speed. Just check my sig this is by far my best car with handling and speed. BTW 6 speed legend vs 6 speed CL-s who will win. Im choosing the CL-s.
P.S. The CL-s 6 speed is rare, usually at a meet its only me.
