Best cheapest clutch availale for 03 3.2 cl
I am looking for a cheap clutch replacement. Oddly there are very few "cheap" options for the CL. I do all my work myself so i am not worried about giving a shot to a cheap clutch. Mainly because i got time and expertise to do it.
Lucky i don't need a clutch yet but i am trying to plan ahead.
Factory honda clutch from the dealer is 240 which is not too bad, but i know cheap stuff on ebay runs around a 100.
I KNOW I KNOW most people have nothing to go say bout cheaping out when it comes to a poorly made clutch, but i have nothing to loose but 4 hours worth of work so i am more then willing to take the chance.
Thanks all
Alex

Well thats the problem, for any other car there is a cheap 150$ no brand name clutch, but when it comes to the CL there aint jack ... are parts really that bad for this particular year/engine combo.
I mean, put in an Integra or a 240sx or Accord clutch in ebay search and you will pull anything from 89$ clutch to 400$....now do same for a CL and you will be lucky to get a factory honda clutch show up.
Back in the day when i was working for acura i could knock out an Auto CL tans in under 2 hours...but thats with a lift so it makes things much easier. Do enough of these and its pretty much hand memory. Not bragging by any means, i still kick myself for getting in to automotive field...as soon as i am done with my Economics degree i am out!

It only takes 4 hours to pull the transmission out of the car, change out the clutch, and put everything back together? I

Yeah your not going to find a "cheap" CLS clutch. Simple fact is not much aftermarket is made.
Just get a stock one. And don't forget about the flywheel. You will need a new one. Dual mass flywheels should not be resurfaced. Save up $ if your short. Get a 2nd job sell some stuff on EBay etc etc.
