i have the compustar 2 way alarm starter and i love it, they say it has about a 1.25 mile range. havent gone this far but i have used it as far as around 700-1000 feet and had no problem whatsoever. plus its 2way so it lets u know if the door hood , trunk are open , if the car is started, if the alarm is goin off.... well worth the money

I have the Python 680XP, exactly the same as the Viper 791XV. $300 installed. About a 1/4 range with buildings, 1 miles open.
