I won't assault you for this!! I actually like that car, but personally, I still think that the Acura is the better deal. Look at everything you get in the CL-S, then look at the Mercedes... the Acura packs a lot more into the price then the Benz. The car comes with cloth seats standard... you can imagine how much the car would cost just to get it close to the CL-S... plus, it's only 200hp....

there is a leather option in the benz, and yea there are alot of options they charge for thats standard in the ac, but the ac is also about 5-6,000$ more (if you were to buy it now). with the options in the benz it would come to around the same price.

With ALL of the options that the Acura has... I bet you the Mercedes would be closer to the TL-S in price then to the CL-S... plus, with the CL-S you get a lot more power. That Mercedes is only 200hp and 192 ft. lbs. of torque (or something like that)... my 1998 CL could beat that thing....

well i couldnt care less about the hp tell you the truth, im not into driving that fast. 192 or 260 wouldnt matter to me cause i would never use the extra 68hp.

that hachback benz would not have so many hp as cl-s does..and the interior is not so cool..as it is cheapest benz and the price ir affordable.. it is like the E36 bmw 318Ti... the interior is suck.. but it is a bmw..if that is what u want... ![Smile](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

I saw that new MB coupe last night at the dealer.. is was pretty nice, but the rear looks way too small. Front end looks sharp i like it.
Also the cloth interior has to be the best feeling cloth i have ever felt, it was very nice.

I saw the commerical for the new C-Class coupe. It seems to look better on TV than the pictures in magazines. I'm not too fond of the back though. It looks sorta awkward. The front and frontal/side view is attractive. I like the idea of the full sunroof. It's definitely better than our soonroof that doesn't open all the way. The interior is clean, and I would opt for the leather.
However, with all the desired options added, it puts the car in the CL Type S price range and IMHO, it isn't worth it. I know that Mercedes doesn't discount their cars that much below MSRP, especially with models that have just been introduced. You could almost get the CL Premium at the base price of the Benz. The RSX Type S is a much stronger value if you're looking for a hatchback.
And if you're looking for the Mercedes nameplate just because of "prestige", I don't think this hatchback projects much prestige, even if it is a Mercedes.

All you have to do is drive that Benz and you won't want one. That engine is awful. It sounds like a cheap blender on its last leg. They oughta throw in a set of earplugs with every purchase.
