what did i miss here

black label 10-05-2007 05:50 PM

I'm confused as well. This isn't the remains of the turbo 6mt is it? The wheels definitely aren't 03 wheels and it looks like the grill has chrome trim, not color matched as a 03 would have.

krisdlm 10-05-2007 05:53 PM

this is thinjims new project car

2CLean 10-05-2007 06:17 PM

It was an exercise of discretion with moments of a pure feeling of being a redneck from Hilliard..FL.

Garkon 10-06-2007 11:52 AM

So are you going for RWD 6-spd CL? If so it's my perfect car. What kinda power are you thinking it's going to have when your done, stock, bolt ons, SC , turbo? Keep us updated, oh and when its done i want to take a ride in it, and if not possible, i expect many high quality vids. It's only fair after you've done this much work, no low quality youtube crap.

If he is going through all this work I'm pretty sure the car isn't going to see much (if any) road use and thus, I doubt it's going to simply have stock or bolt-on power. ;)

datzdaboi 10-06-2007 12:55 PM

Damn that's stripped for real

ThinJim 10-06-2007 04:43 PM

This car will not see any street use. hehe

Allout 10-06-2007 04:51 PM

Not even at 4am in some industrial area?

Gotta street tune it somewhere. :)

ThinJim 10-06-2007 11:06 PM

Out of all seriousness, this car will not see the street. You'll see after it's done and fully agree.

jeez, one problem at a time :whyme: :D

Jim, are you putting the J32 sideways or you putting a different motor/tranny (LS7)?

just watch the progress, keeping much of it close to the vest, but it will be unique without a doubt.

MISTAZOOM 10-08-2007 11:26 AM

Im Intrigued!!!

chill_dog 10-08-2007 12:31 PM

A while ago I somehow stumbled across the thread just after you bought this car and mentioned its purpose was a RWD conversion...been looking for this thread about the process ever since...looking forward to following it. Good luck.

Accord_V6_400m 10-11-2007 04:21 AM

So the only question left to ask is, if it will be prop or turbine driven?

Or... possibly a rocket :wish:

datzdaboi 10-11-2007 05:23 AM

Damn talk about progress

Blasted69 10-11-2007 07:36 AM

wow, your an animal... This is going to be AWESOME
:drag:
This is going to prob cost a ton, how much do you think? :mantis:

chill_dog 10-12-2007 09:56 AM

Very nice.

Is every bit of this project DIY?

pits200 10-12-2007 09:59 AM

Ha, that is some hard work right there, but I wonder if it is going to be recognizeable as a CL.

ThinJim 10-12-2007 10:35 AM

To build a chassis is specialized, so no, not a diy project. Lots of changes to be made and lots of fabrication. As for being reconizible as a CL, you betcha. don't let the car all chopped up fool you. The look should be pretty close to this members rendition/photochop of a CL in Pro trim when the key gets turned.
