Battery Dead...

My car just won't crank over by itself... have to jump-start it now... don't know why. I don't know if its the cable going to the trunk or the ground that's doing this... freaking wierd!

Any ideas? It's been about a month since the battery went to the trunk.

Maybe it's all those cold starts you've had in Woodland Hills.

Is there any gadget that you added that may be drawing current when the car is off (VAFC?)? Generator/alternator gone bad?

are you using the stock battery?

it must be from the relocation. what size cable did you use?

something may be loose or shorting out.

I remember a post about it being difficult to find a good ground in the trunk...

I don't know your whole story, but just a thought..

Checked everything systematically:

Trunk ground - OK
Starter - OK
Battery Charge - OK

It was my connection of the starter-wire, batter-cable and
alternator-cable after I had cut the wire for relocating my battery. I guess the crimp-connector I had used wasn't too great, so I got some nice fat copper connectors and all is well!

Was scared for a tad bit though!

if you decide to get a new battery get a optima(you can mount them any way)(even upside down) and it's "leakproof" plus their batteries are HELLA strong
