Bad Scratches and some ass to kick

So check out my car, this is what a shopping cart does when wind blows it up to a good 30mph and whams into your car. It's safe to say that I am persuing full coverage by the supermarket and I will get it so help me god. Why you ask? Well let's just say that this place NEVER has anyone collecting the carts and I basically went nuts at the courtesy counter. I even made the manager walk outside and visually confirm the damage. I had my digital camera on me so I took tons of pics of the lot, all the carts all over the place, and ofcourse the shopping cart that rammed my car which had my paint all over it. AND YES I AM FUCKING LIVID OVER THIS.

OMFG.

Ain't that some shit!

If that was my car, that manager would have been carrying his own entrails in his arms...all the way back to his damn service counter. Damn!

Good luck Eclipse!

That sucks. I try to avoid areas such as grocery stores and shopping malls. If I do I park as far away as possible.

OMG!!

Hey good luck bro. My coworker once had a rx300 and a shopping kart rammed in to his driver side door at Target. After bitching and moaning Target reimbursed the damage.

Sorry but kinda reminds me of the vw commerical.

Ironically, parking far away from cars is what caused this. The parking lot is slightly angled (brilliant design) so as when a cart gets momentum it keeps momentum and the wind just gives it speed. Me, being at the far end of the lot simply was the target for these carts.

Ouch,
Just looking at that caused me to grimace Well I know how you feel, it's a loose, loose situation. If you park far enough away from anyone you'll have crap like this happening, if you decide to even be the least bit careful you'll have some @#$mba$$ who decides that they don't give a rats a$$ and decide to give you a couple of dents (because their POS isn't worth it). Damn some aspects of human nature pisses me off sometimes

That cart really took a bite out of your car. I hope some restitution is in order. This makes me yearn even more for the availability of strips of side molding protection along with some scuff plates for our rides.

Good Luck

How do you like those Yoko AVS Db's?
Do they really earn the "Db" within their name?

Thanks

If they don't have places to hold the carts you should have a good case.

That's a pretty bad parking job, Ern. :p
Hope they don't try to give you a ticket for taking up two spaces if you show those pics in court.
Or is self-incrimination still illegal?

Couldn't have hit it in a worse spot. That thing pushed that corner into the door frame. That cart really got a running start eh? You would think the "wobbly" wheel would slow it down a bit.

I love the dB's, and truly believe they earn the dB rating. The only problem is the price Fortunately for Z rated tires they're still goin strong without the least noticeable bit of tread wear degradation. Awesome wet weather tire, for NJ it's good for a summer tire, but not a very good winter tire.

Ern,

this is NOT an excuse for u to bail on Sunday bahaha...seriously tho, sorry bout the damage...my first reaction was what a-hole intentionally rammed that cart into u...but the wind?? <Jaws music in the background>...i can just c the camera angle from inside the cart targeting the car!!...that sucks BIGTIME b/c u gotta get the door and the rear quarter fixed...that's come serious $$$, and after all your upgrading, this is one expense u don't need.

PS, that VW commercial was HYSTERICAL!!!
