Bad if i drive in automanual 100% of the time?

Bad if i drive in automanual 100% of the time?

or is it bad if i just drive in D4 all the time? 5th gear is the snooze

ive heard that it can be better since most of the tranny problems originate from rapid 2nd to 3rd and 3rd to 2nd shifts.

yea... 5th gear is only when im going on highway for a long period of time to increase fuel economy.

4th gear still sux though but it has better performance than the 5th

I dont know why everyone thinks 4th sucks .. I think my 4th is really decent, especially since the unichip I get alot of torque to move the car.

is it better to drive in D4 on regular driving..and D5 for highway?

Does it save gas?

D5 = overdrive and it will save gas on highways for sure due to the reduced RPMs

i don't think its bad for the car, i prefer d5 for crusing and gate shifting and tiptronic for most of the driving i do

I live in SS mode 99% of the time. I think it may benefit to decrease the 2-3 shifts. I wil run 2nd up to just before VTEC if going to be slowing down shortly. I know we can't really "save" the damn tranny's but I guess some of us do what we "think" we can.
