bad dealer experience...

@ suburban, ever since sunday i have been experiencing very weird noises coming from under the car when i turn or exit out of a turn, it really sounds like something is breaking under the car...
dealer checked it out today and said nothing was broken under the car and everything seems fine , but my car dont drive fine, i honestly dont think they made a great effort to try and solve my problem and they told me i'm SOL

any one have any clue on what could be going on?? i am talking to the collison i went to, i have a life time warranty with them

Yeah, D, just give me a call after work tomorrow and come over. Hopefully it's just loose bolts, but we'll see.

Its funny you post this Darrin, I'm about to make a thread of my own.

I solemnly swear to never let any of my cars see a dealership unless its something I cannt handle. They are all assholes and only care about making money, not about making the customer satisfied. And I'm not just talking about Acura, it seems to afflict the majority of auto dealers.

Yeah, we checked the sway bar, CV boots, axles, strust assemblies, brake assemblies, lower arms, everything. Everything looked fine.

This may seem far-fetched, but we did find a loose header bolt. The nut was rusted on the bolt really tight in a loose position. Under acceleration or turning, the engine and the exhaust system could twist enough so that the bolt is getting pulled in opposite directions and popping around. And since the header pipes and the down pipes are hollow, the sound could echo pretty loud.

It's either that or his diff. I checked mine after checking his, and his sounded more loose... maybe a tooth chipped off or something, but I don't know. It's unlikely, but anything's possible.

We tried to fix the loose bolt, but it wasn't having it. It's rusted on the bolt really tight. He's going to take it to the shop tomorrow and get it looked at. I hope it's nothing seriously wrong.

Darrin -- have faith, man. It'll get fixed one way or another. Like you asked me today, if that were my car, I would take apart the entire car if I had to until I fixed it. And I don't treat your car any differently than I do mine. It'll get fixed. I'm not saying we're going to take apart your car, but you get the point.
