B Pipe question

Burning Brakes
As I have run out bolt on performance options, I was looking at adding the b-pipe to my stock exhaust. I had the Comptech exhaust for about a week and sold them because they were too loud for my taste.
It looks like the b-pipe takes 2-3 hp and torque away on the lower rpms but gives an increase of 2-3 in the higher rpms. So in my book no real gain, so the only reason I would be buying would be for the sound.
Guess I just talked myself out of the b-pipe and saved myself $400.
