"Automotive News" Forum....

When Gavriil first recommended a forum just for car news, I thought it was a great idea. However, now that it's here, I hate it. All of those stories belong in car talk. When these threads are alienated into another forum, they will not see the number of people contributing to the discussion.

Anybody else care to comment?

Cool idea but so many threads and discussions are spurred by these posts and so I think it needs to be in car talk. I'm all for organization but the board also needs to be user friendly. Like the clubRSX and wrx boards have a million different forums and you never know where to post anything etc.,

for effort but :thumbsdn: for implementation

I like it, and as you would guess, for reasons opposite of your's. I don't mind reading automotive news, but I feel that it can really clutter up Car Talk. Separating out the news section is just logical in my mind.

People interested in reading these threads will know where to find them. No harm done.

zoot you are wrong, all those threads are not meant to be here in "car talk"...."car talk" is for CL RELATED MATERIAL, thats it....

the new forum "automotive news" is a great idea and it will take a few weeks for it to catch on and for people to get the idea, but once it does, it will become another highly viewed and utilized forum. just chill and give it some time.

it will be very REFRESHING when "car talk" is not clutered with BMW, Audi, Honda, GM stuff

Actually, that's not correct either. Car Talk is for Car Talk. All talk related to all cars, including the Second Generation CL.

I like the idea of the Automotive News forum. Gavriil always has good posts and it's a great idea to keep them seperate. With there being a seperate forum for it you can now just read the Auto News w/o filtering through topics after topics of Intake, Tires, wheels, etc. questions. Also makes it easier to search.

My opinions:

Keep “Automotive News” integrated with Car Talk

Make “Political/Religious Bullshit” have an invisibility option so I NEVER have to see it.

my opinion?

i would originally have agreed with you guys...

but were not being strict about this.

ALOT of topics get lost in car talk... never to be found again that are industry news related but have little to do with us or our competition.

I think any significant topic that will get play and are worthy of car talk will end up here anyway.
