Automatic Locking of the doors in the CL
For some reason when I start up my car, my 2003 Cl Type S now autolocks itself, and I cant get out of the car without unlocking it. It didnt use to be this way...anyone know the deal?

Wow strange, but I am glad mine doesn't do this. Now if it did like Silvia's 3000 that would be ok, but my sisters Grand Am just pisses me off when I pull the damn handle and the bastard won't let me out.

it may be due to the remote activation. my old accord would auto-lock the doors AFTER i got out after a minute or so.
i discovered that i caused it by hitting the remote "lock" button enough times to cause the horn to "chirp". i think it took pressing the lock button 2 or 3 times in a row.
i was able to disable the feature by pressing the remote "unlock" button enough times to cause the horn to "chirp" again. this also took pressing the unlock button 2 or 3 times in a row. the remotes and door lock/unlock features are almost identical to the accord so i think they're identical or nearly identical systems.
try pressing the "unlock" button 2 or 3 times next time you get out of the car. this may eliminate the "auto-lock" function you seem to be experiencing at the moment.
if it does you should also be able to re-enable the "auto-lock" function by pressing the lock button 2 or 3 times.

Naw man cause I've never seen this on any TL or CL...EVER. Plus every single time I get out of my car I press the lock button like 3-4 times. (I get nervous and think it's not locking) and my door locks have never locked by themselves. I think this was programable on the RL's and 1st gen cl's but I'm almost positive that it's not on the secong gen cl's and tl's.
